About Nobinite

Is excessive thermal expansion causing you headaches?

”Nobinite is the answer!”

We have produced a range of tailored products for clients since 1987, when we patented Nobinite, our low thermal expansion casting product.
Only Enomoto Casting is able to offer a comprehensive low thermal expansion casting consulting service, backed by extensive experience and expertise and comprehensive testing and observation data, including usage in different applications and relative advantages and disadvantages.
Speak with us from the product planning stage. We will give you precise advice based on a wealth of case studies.

Nobinite types and characteristics

Recent advances in industrial technology have created an increasing need for low thermal expansion materials that do not expand with temperature.
Nobinite is a high-performance casting material developed to meet these needs.
Nobinite boasts excellent casting properties and is suitable for complex thin-walled castings. It also has good cutting performance on a par with gray cast iron (FC) and ductile cast iron (FCD). It also has excellent properties specific to austenite, such as vibration damping and resistance to heat, corrosion and low-temperature brittleness. We have developed various types of Nobinite tailored to client needs and requirements.

CF-5 Offers low thermal expansion and excellent damping characteristics, suitable for beds and tables for precision processing machinery as well as structural materials for measuring instruments and optical devices
CD-5
CS-5
For components that require low thermal expansion and strength
CN-5 For components that require low thermal expansion at relatively high temperatures Excellent as a base material in combination with ceramics
SI-5 Equivalent to Super Invar steel with virtually zero thermal expansion
